Over the last six years, he has recorded more than 2000 songs with clients in Mental Health and Addiction Facilities. As a songwriter and music producer for over 20 years, William achieved notable success early in his music career, touring the United States and winning a San Diego Music Award. Having a strong passion for the arts led William to earn a B.A. degree in Cinema production from San Francisco State University. He has worked on various music/film/tv projects for major Hollywood production companies including Sony and Universal Pictures, as well as operated an independent recording studio. William’s musical talents as a singer/songwriter, combined with his natural ability to connect with people, make him a dynamic facilitator for creative expression with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. William has personally experienced the healing power of music, which helped him overcome struggles in his own past. Originally from Wichita, KS, Jenna is a Midwest native and completed her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from the University of Kansas. She was involved in Women’s Chorale, West African Drumming, Brazilian Steel Band, vocal lessons, piano lessons, and guitar lessons. Jenna’s clinical experiences include intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, children in school settings, teenagers in juvenile detention centers, adults with traumatic brain injuries, and providing adapted and traditional music lessons on voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele. He achieved some notable success early in his career with emo/rock band Jack’s Broken Heart, which won a San Diego Music Award in 2001, toured the continental United States, and shared the stage with acts like The Mars Volta and Jimmy Eat World. Having a strong passion for the arts, William earned a B.A in Cinema production. Following completion of his degree at San Francisco State University, William worked on film/tv projects for major Hollywood production companies including Sony and Universal Pictures as well as operated an independent recording studio. After losing his childhood home in a Wildfire in 2003, William turned to unhealthy ways to cope with the traumatic experience of such a life altering event. After continuing with music and film for some years, but still struggling with trauma related symptoms, William sought help through recovery and mental health treatment. It was that time that he made the connection of his passion for music and desire to help people. William’s talent as a singer/songwriter, passion for the healing power of music, and overcoming the struggles of his past make him an outstanding program administrator for Moving Melodies in Addiction Treatment and Mental Health facilities.
